Be aware that household income is the total gross income per week, i.e. before tax, including wages, pensions, benefits and interest on savings/investments of all household members.
-
How long do I have to wait? — SGCH assesses each application based on needs analysis. This process can take up to six weeks. You will then be informed in writing regarding the outcome of your application.
-
Your eligibility for a rental rebate is based on the household income.
-
Rebated rent is assessed on the gross income of all household members. This is currently 25% of total household income as rent. For some housing programs, a tenant may pay up to 30%.
-
Application forms for SGCH can be obtained by phoning or visiting our office or click here to download an application form.
-
Application forms should be forwarded to the office on completion, together with all supporting documentation, i.e. income details, letters from doctors, social workers, etc., outlining your need for housing.
