Social Housing is long-term rental housing for people on very low to moderate incomes that may be experiencing ‘rental stress’ in the private market. It can be provided by community housing organisations like SGCH, the state government, or by Aboriginal housing organisations.
Affordable Housing generally offers a discount to market rent for people who meet income eligibility requirements. It is provided for workers on low to moderate incomes who may find it difficult to access the private rental market.
Once you have submitted your request, you will be contacted by a SGCH representative who will advise you of the timeframe to complete the work. For more information, refer to our Responsive Maintenance Policy.
