Social Housing is long-term rental housing for people on very low to moderate incomes that may be experiencing ‘rental stress’ in the private market. It can be provided by community housing organisations like SGCH, the state government, or by Aboriginal housing organisations.
Affordable Housing generally offers a discount to market rent for people who meet income eligibility requirements. It is provided for workers on low to moderate incomes who may find it difficult to access the private rental market.
If the change is for medical reasons, please complete the Modifications Form.
Altering the property without permission is a breach of your Residential Tenancy Agreement. Unauthorised alterations and additions can cause electrical fires, structural damage, and other building damage. Please be aware, there are limits on what you can change at some of our properties.
You must not start any works until you get written approval from SGCH.
