About the role
We have an opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join our South-West Sydney region Customers team on a contract basis to January 2025 covering parental leave. This team is based across and provides administration support to our South-West Sydney offices; Bonnyrigg, Hurstville, Fairfield and Riverwood.
As the Business Support Officer (BSO), you will be counted on to provide strong administrative support and customer service to help deliver an excellent customer experience. This includes the wider Customers team i.e. tenancy management, support coordination, housing pathways, income management, rent review, and community development.
As a Business Support Officer, your activities include:
- respond to applicants, tenants and other customer enquiries with care and urgency
- administrative support; data entry, filing, inbox management, scheduling appointments and minute-taking
- reception management for Redfern office
- ad hoc tasks to support our teams; lease packs, allocations, prepare meeting rooms.
About you (essential requirements)
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- experience in a busy and demanding administrative environment
- experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- excellent customer service skills
- strong organisational and time management skills
- self-motivated with a learning mindset, with experience working autonomously
- current NSW driving licence – desirable
- understanding of social and affordable housing – desirable
