Community Engagement Assistant

St Leonards and Redfern NSW

We are looking for a Community Engagement Assistant to join our Customers team in the Metro North East Sydney region, on a on a full-time contract basis until 1 November 2024. This role will be primarily based in St Leonards but will also need you to travel to our Redfern offices and some community sites.

As a Community Engagement Assistant, you help deliver community development and placemaking activities that aim to empower social housing tenants to be more involved in their local community.

In this role you will connect with our customers to:

  • provide responsive and respectful customer-centric services
  • support community development and placemaking activities designed to meet the needs of social housing community
  • provide administrative support for tenant meetings and placemaking activities, including Minute taking
  • organise and attend tenant community events and activities
  • enhance tenant health and wellbeing through placemaking and partnership practices
  • accurately input and manage tenant information and data in set timeframes.

About you

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • current NSW driving license
  • experience in a busy and demanding administrative environment
  • experience delivering team outcomes
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work independently
  • strong administrative and time management skills.
