About the Senior Communications Advisor and about you:
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Communications Advisor to join our SGCH Operations team. Working as part of a team of communications professionals, will effectively lead the SGCH publications including end-to-end production of annual, quarterly and weekly publications (digital and print), oversee SGCH’s source-of-truth library including key messaging, and identify and curate SGCH stories that are media-worthy.
You will identify and curate great content across SGCH’s business pillars, and support the wider communications team with SGCH-related events and activities, ensuring alignment with strategic service delivery and outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will have a proactive attitude to deliver, have a strong understanding of communications tactics and channels, and demonstrate great stakeholder engagement skills.
This is a permanent full-time role, based at our Hurstville office currently (re-location to working across Liverpool and Redfern in late 2024) and requires travel to other SGCH office locations as required.
About you (essential requirements)
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism and/or equivalent skills and experience
- Experience managing end-to-end digital and print production of annual and quarterly publications for external and internal platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience developing, managing and maintaining key messaging and organisational source-of-truth information
- Experience sourcing and editing engaging content for publications
- Proven ability to manage competing schedules and tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a busy environment
- Proven analytical skills in measuring the impact and effectiveness of communication activities
- Ability to plan effective communication strategies to support promotion and distribution of publications
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of the Communications team, work with and support other SGCH teams
