In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TAFE NSW, together with the NSW Government, is offering a number of fee-free short courses that you can complete in just days or weeks, offering practical skills and experiences across a range of industries.
To be eligible for a fully subsidised place you must:
- live or work in NSW
- be an Australian Citizen OR Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen OR Humanitarian visa holder
- be over 17 years (people between 15 and 17 may be eligible and should contact TAFE for more information)
- have left school
- you will also need a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
If you like learning, you could also consider taking the opportunity to learn a new skill or increase your current educational level. There are many free online courses you can do from home (called MOOCs).
Now is also a great time to find a new book, listen to a binge-worthy podcast or do a fun activity at home. You can get all of this and more online at your Library. You can sign up for a free library card on the State Library of NSW website to then access thousands of free ebooks, newspapers from around the world, journals and other resources from home (see link below).
