Hi, I’m Debi Marriott-Lavery and this year I stepped into the role of CEO at SGCH.

I’ve recently made the move from England, where I led a community housing organisation that shared many of the values I see at SGCH – where people are put first and we work hard to build strong, inclusive communities.

My career began in a UK hospital as an emergency nurse and those early experiences taught me something powerful: housing, health and social care are deeply intertwined. A safe, secure home isn’t just a place to live, it’s the foundation for everything else in life.

I’m passionate about creating environments where people feel supported, respected and empowered. I’m looking forward to working alongside you, our customer, learning from your experiences and contributing to the incredible work already happening across SGCH.

As the end of year draws near, I wanted to wish you all a happy holiday season and thank everyone who has got amongst our community events program, helping make the thriving communities that we aspire to. While the festive season can be a time of joy, it can also be a time of loneliness, financial stress and relationship issues.
