As work continues on the Bonnyrigg Estate Renewal project, five brand-new social homes have this year been officially handed over to SGCH by Homes NSW – and all are now fully tenanted.

Delivery of these new homes is the result of close collaboration between SGCH and Homes NSW. The completed properties comprise:

• 3 x four-bedroom freestanding house
• 2 x three-bedroom duplexes (comprising four dwellings)

Built to modern standards and thoughtfully designed, the homes provide much-needed upgraded housing for local families – and their impact has already been deeply felt. During tenant viewings, one SGCH customer was brought to tears of joy at the prospect of moving into a brand-new, secure home. Another family described one of the duplexes as being “a wonderful new beginning” for them.

The homes have been designed to blend seamlessly into the broader community, in line with the estate’s mixed-tenure philosophy.

Handover marks another milestone in the long-term renewal of Bonnyrigg, and we thank our partners at Homes NSW for their ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality social housing outcomes.
