SGCH was proud to be recognised in three award categories at the Australian Community Housing Awards at Parliament House in Canberra in recent weeks.  

With customers at the heart of everything we do, our Customer Care Hub were delighted to receive a Highly Commended in the Team Leadership and Culture Award. The team have successfully lifted call centre performance and customer satisfaction through strong morale, a focus on wellbeing and personal accountability.

In an era where partnerships are vital to delivering more homes, SGCH was named a runner up in the Government Collaboration Award. This recognised our partnership with Bric Housing and Economic Development Queensland, supported by Housing Australia and the Queensland Government Department of Housing. Together, we are delivering 152 sustainable homes at Carseldine Village –a best practice model that could be replicated to accelerate inclusive housing delivery across the country.  

We were also proud to see SGCH Project Management Partner Malcolm Picken named runner up in the Rising Star Award and Scholarship. Malcolm was nominated for delivering two major initiatives with creativity, initiative and an inclusive collaboration style.  
 
The awards were part of the Australian Community Housing Conference, where housing leaders, government, industry and advocates came together to explore how we grow, innovate and lead with purpose.
