Strive Scholarships happen in two rounds each year, one for Kindergarten to Year 12 students, and the other for Tertiary students.
Strive Scholarships is SGCH’s annual education program. The Scholarships provide money for educational costs based on the student’s level of study, shown in the table below. The scholarship money can be used to pay for things like school fees, stationery, computers or extra curricular activities.
We recognise the barriers our customers face in education, particularly the difficulty of expenses and time when juggling family and household needs. Strive Scholarships are our way of rewarding students who work so hard to overcome their challenges.
Receiving a Strive Scholarship is something to be proud of! The scholarship expresses SGCH’s vote of confidence in selected students who are pursuing their dreams through education and training.
How can I apply?
To be eligible the student must
- Be a current household member of an SGCH property
- Have been a tenant of SGCH for three months
- Not be in arrears or debt with SGCH
All applications are submitted online. Applications for Kindergarten to Year 12 students are open every year from 1 October to 31 October. Applications for Tertiary students (Uni/TAFE/college) are open every year from 1 March to 31 March.
