Social Housing is long-term rental housing for people on very low to moderate incomes that may be experiencing ‘rental stress’ in the private market. It can be provided by community housing organisations like SGCH, the state government, or by Aboriginal housing organisations.
Affordable Housing generally offers a discount to market rent for people who meet income eligibility requirements. It is provided for workers on low to moderate incomes who may find it difficult to access the private rental market.

The purpose of St George Community Housing is to collaboratively shape great places through sustainable, safe and affordable housing and connect people to opportunity to improve quality of life.
You can buy discounted digital devices on a repayment plan through our DigiConnect program.St George Community Housing buys digital devices on your behalf, you get to take it home on the day you sign the repayment plan, and then you pay back through installments across one year – just the cost of the item, no interest.
Eligibility:
Have been an St George Community Housing customer for at least three months.
At the end of the application, you will be asked some questions in relation to your personal wellbeing. This helps us to understand how our customers are going and any changes to their wellbeing overtime.
