Youth Week brightened our neighborhoods in Western Sydney this week, with Bonnyrigg Youth Collective wrapping up the school holidays with a rainbow-coloured fun run for locals.
In a high energy race featuring hula hoops, parachutes and sack runs, everyone crossed the finish line with big smiles and togetherness.

Sitting amongst a group head-to-toe in colour, local youth member Kai gave the event a 20/10!
“It went really well, with a great turn out of people. Everyone is just loving it! This is important for the local community, as it brings young people together and gives a sense of enjoyment and fun.”
The day ended with locals relaxing together over a BBQ.
BYC President Farees shared, “Not everyone can afford the luxuries of life and today brought everyone together to create that sense of connection and belonging.”
SGCH Connecting Communities team member Samantha helped facilitate the youth-led event. “I love that we get to work with BYC to bring youth-led ideas to life. Today gave members a chance to come together to celebrate as a team, organise an event themselves and then have fun with community members before school goes back.”
SGCH proudly supports Bonnyrigg Youth Collective – a group of young people aged 12- 25 who live, work and study in Bonnyrigg and want to make a positive difference in their neighbourhood.
